Warm Autumn

Warm Autumn, also called True Autumn, is the warmest of the autumn seasons. The coloring is golden and rich: warm brown, amber or olive-green eyes, auburn, copper or golden-brown hair and golden or olive skin. Earthy, spicy, warm colors make Warm Autumns look radiant; cool and icy colors make them look grey.

Frequently asked questions

What colors should a Warm Autumn avoid?

Avoid cool and icy colors: fuchsia, icy pink, lavender, royal blue and blue-grey. Pastels and pure black-and-white contrast also clash with golden warmth.

Can a Warm Autumn wear black or white?

Chocolate, espresso and dark olive are more flattering than black. Cream and ivory replace pure white beautifully.

What hair colors suit a Warm Autumn?

Auburn, copper, golden brown, chestnut and warm caramel. Avoid ash tones, platinum and blue-black — they strip warmth from the face.

What's the difference between Warm Autumn and Warm Spring?

Both are distinctly warm. The difference is clarity: Warm Autumn colors are rich and earthy (rust, olive, mustard), Warm Spring colors are clear and fresh (coral, turquoise, golden yellow). If rust suits you better than bright coral, you lean autumn.

What metals and jewelry suit a Warm Autumn?

Yellow gold, antique gold, copper and bronze. Warm stones like amber, tiger's eye and topaz suit this season. Silver can look flat.
